    DPR Reports Pesticide Use Declined Again in 2008

    For the third consecutive year, the California Department of Pesticide Regulation is reporting a drop in the use of pesticides by California farmers. Among other findings from the report, CDPR concludes the continued decline in insecticide use reflects more growers are shifting from broad-based insecticides to new products more specific to the pest and less toxic to people and the environment.
